finished Branching Out. I actually really enjoyed doing this once I got past the first stage as it just seemed so far away from finishing. After I must have done about 8 repeats or so it really seemed to be coming along really well and so the end was in sight so to speak. This is a work in progress shot of it. I’ll take another pic after blocking and we’ll see if it changes it at all. I knit it with some Rowanspun dk wina really nice blue colour. Worked well for this scarf, I originally bought quite a few skeins to make a jumper with but I just could never get gauge with it and I got annoyed so flogged the untouched skeins. This was the one I’d already balled up.

Another wip is the Transparent Cardigan. I’m not sure if I’ll have enough yarn for this though so we’ll see how it goes. I got some really 80’s style mohair from the charity shop so am using that. Problem is it doesn’t state the yardage of it so I’m guessing really. Need to clarify a few bits of the pattern too as I don’t quite understand some of it or I may try and wing it. We’ll see!!

And I dunno when I’ll start this but I fancy making this sweater. I had some merino chunky lying about but not enough so I bought some more in a different colour so it will have to be stripey! Not sure if it will look ok or how to do the stripes (thick / thin??) but again we’ll see how it goes. Here’s the yarn:
lol, can’t believe it was a year ago I started this blog! My obsessions can be so fickle!
So. What have I done? Not a lot to be honest. But I do have a couple of things to update.
I started the minisweater last year and was really excited about it. Loved knitting it, probably due to the yummy Addi circuars I bought which were well worth the money IMO. I ended up getting a bit disheartened after doing one sleeve and thinking it would be too tight and that really I was too fat for it. Anyway, I picked it up again the other week and decided I had to finish it and that I didn’t care if I was too fat for it! So here’s the results:

I’ve also done another hat. Nice easy work. Marcus didn’t like his hat I knitted from Colinette wool as it was too scratchy. I bought some browny wool that was really similar to the One Zero wool (but much cheaper - £2.25 for 225g!) and thought I’d try that. OH would have it if Marcus didn’t like it. He did though and it looks really good on him. No pics though.
Bought some more yarn lately too. I got some Noro Kureyon

to make these and also some self striping sock wool

from The Cledry Yarner. Never done socks before, but quite excited about the prospect! Sad probably!
It was the other day I actually wrote all this, just got round to posting the pics into the draft. I’ve very nearly finished the arm socks, only about another 10 rows to go. They look cool! I’ve also started knitting a baby cardigan in Cashmerino - I’m in love! What a gorgeous, gorgeous yarn!
This scarf was made with Colinette Fandango yarn which is a cotton chenille. Is lovely wool, but I was getting fed up of the needles I had. Really could use Addi circulars for everything I think! I love how it turned out, and I’m even thinking about making another one at some point in a different colour
